(born July 11, 1986 in Saint-Raphaël, Var) is the great-great-great-great-grandnephew of Napoléon Bonaparte and the son of Prince Charles Napoléon and Princess Béatrice of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, the daughter of Prince Ferdinand, Duke of Castro, claimant to the headship of the Royal House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies.
His grandfather, Prince Louis Napoléon, stipulated in his will following his death in 1997 that he wished Jean-Christophe to be his successor. [1] Despite the dynastic dispute, Prince Jean-Christophe's father Prince Charles has stated that "there will never be conflict" between him and his son over the imperial succession.[2]
